Such factors include the wages standardization, the condition of the working environment, measures put in place to minimize workers occupational hazards among others. This study is mainly aimed at having a critical evaluation of the possible ways and means that can be implemented to achieve a Positive Safety Culture in a company. The case study preferred was the examination of the China Railway First Group Singapore Branch, a subset of China Railway First Group. To achieve this positive safety culture in any company s everal personal and collective attributes has to be evaluated. The following essay tries to describe in details the attributes and give the importance each has in establishing the positive safety cultureProject DescriptorChina Railway First Group Singapore Branch is a subsidiary of China First Railway Group based in Singapore. It main functions include the provision of structural engineering especially on the railway transport. The company has over the time since its establishment in Singapore, provided remarkably built infrastructures of high quality and with a short period of time. These attributes have enhanced the companys exponential growth in size and hence number of staff. The concerns of the companys positive safety culture are justified since with the growth of many companies, such basic but fundamental attributes of the company can easily be overlooked, (Singapore, 2017 Np).The China Railway First Group Company is one of the fastest growing companies in the world. It is am ong the worlds top 500 companies in size and operations. The Singapore branch of the China First company was majorly based on the laying the railway line across Singapore. The company was established in Singapore in the year 2015 and since then has provided employment to tens of thousands of citizens within and without Singapore. The company, which has specialized in the construction industry, has majored in different infrastructure development in numerous countries with the latest being clean water provision in Cameroon. The company is based on basic principles of infrastructure improvement for economic empowerment. The company has undertaken numerous projects within and without Singapore all aimed at improving the standards of living of the host country, (Singapore, 2017 Np).The company China Railway First Group Singapore is headed by a Chief Executive officer who is in charge of all the operations of the company within the nation. He with the help of board of directors is the sol e decision maker to all issues facing the company. The CEO is also in charge of search of ways and means the company would win more tenders for service delivery. Below the CEO their departmental heads who are tasked with day to day operations of the particular department for efficient operation. The health and occupation hazard department is under the Human resource department and headed by an occupation and health officer. The department is responsible of setting the standards especially on the safety of the employees. The officers within the department are mandated with the development of standard operation procedures to ensure every employees safety is not compromised. The rules and policy governing this department are based on the laws of the land, Singapore. The laws ensure every company established in Singapore strictly adheres to the every requirement that ensures the employees safety. Recently the company held an annual meeting on safety and quality of the services they prov ide. The meeting touched on both the safety of employees and service consumers. Safety and Quality Supervision Minister Peng Wanp relayed and explained the vital leadership of the China Railway Bureau in charge of leadership in an important presentation, pointed out that the work of the first part of the department related issues, the other part of the work put forward the requirements, and coming up with the occupation and safety ( Standard operation procedure) Manual, stick to the monthly strategies on the sum of the system, issued the second half of the credit evaluation objectives "and other nine specific work carried out, (Singapore, 2017 Np). The strategy or policy was mainly meant to expand the company over the borders. The company was tasked on laying the extensive railway line network across Singapore. With such an enormous project the company had to increase it task force in all the departments for effective carrying on of the expected duties.The expansion of the company did not push under the carpet the welfare of the staff. This was depicted clearly by the companys insistence of maintaining a safety and health evaluation and assessment department, which I am a member of. The department is primarily in charge of the evaluation and assessment of the working conditions, working environment, and other factors that could be affecting the staff productivity, safety and health. The occupation and health hazards should be kept under check by the proper rules and regulations called the standard operating procedures. These guidelines are meant to take every employee on a step by step process of safe use of machinery and taking part in activ ities that that if not handled with caution could cause health or physical harm to the individual worker and co-workers.Description of the work place studyThe study is aimed at trying to figure out the actual guidelines ensuring the Positive Safety Culture in the company. This is mainly aimed at trying to dissect the guidelines and principles so to get where more can be done to achieve a perfectly Positive Safety Culture in the company. The study intends to investigate this in more than one approach to ensure all the elements that play even the slightest role in improving the Positive safety culture is identified, highlighted and amplified.
